Military & First Responders
If you have served (or are serving) with the Canadian Armed Forces, you can be rightfully proud of the contributions you have made and the discipline, skills and courage it takes to serve in the Armed Forces. For some military personnel and veterans – and their families – it can be a challenge to deal with issues around pre and post deployment. Some of these issues include dealing with difficult emotions such as anger, grief and guilt, relationship difficulties, substance abuse, and dealing with traumatic experiences. Given my experience and knowledge working with veterans and active servicemen/women – and their family members — I am approved by Veterans Canada to build an individualized plan with you to help you reach your goals of having a better life for you and the ones you love. There is no point in you or your loved ones suffering more than you need to, when there are proven treatments to help you get your life back on track.
Serving as a first responder is one of the most important and rewarding ways you can serve the public in a meaningful way. It can also be very stressful, and some of the things that have happened to you — or you have witnessed — can be hard to let go of or make sense of. Every first responder needs to know how to take care of themselves, and talking to an experienced and trained professional can be an important part of staying healthy for your career and family. I have the experience and training to develop an individualized plan for you (and your loved ones) to deal with difficult stresses, emotions and experiences – and to help you get back the enjoyment of your life and career.
